Don't reinvent the wheel | How to keep things simple

12 Mar 2017 0 comments

"Complexity is your enemy. Keep it simple. Keep it honest. Keep it you."

So you have been watching videos and scrolling through Pinterest and you are overwhelmed with the amount of pretty spreads - you're close to giving up.
I want to let you in on a secret. We keep shit simple.
Our spreads may look complicated, but here's where the beauty comes in.
Once we have a layout that is working for us, and we have a couple we refer to, all we do is change the style.
Let me show you what I mean.
Here is a picture of last week's spread.

And this week's...

Notice any similarities?
They're pretty much the exact same spread - we used the same template.
The only real difference is how it's been constructed. One uses boxes and the other uses flag dividers.

If you've found a spread that's working for you at this moment in time, you don't have to reinvent the wheel. Just decorate it differently!
It's as easy as that to keep your Bullet Journal interesting from page to page. It's the decorative details that make the book yours.
So keep it simple team! And don't get too overwhelmed.
What are some of your favourite spreads?
